Daan Lemmens

Full Stack Developer · Paybix

Since 2020 I've been building web software, from Oracle APEX apps to a multi-tenant payroll platform on .NET, React and Azure. After hours I build space games and tabletop tools, and tinker with my home media server and e-ink display.

01 Mission log

My work experience, newest first.

  1. Sep 2022 – now · St-Katelijne-Waver

    Full Stack Developer Paybix

Working on Epix, a multi-tenant payroll and HR data platform that connects to payroll providers across Europe and the UK.

    • Most of the integration work runs through me in both directions: I implement and maintain integrations with external APIs, as well as the code used by external parties consuming our API
    • For new features and existing issues, I work directly with external teams and customers to clarify behaviour, explain functionality, and investigate bugs, including customer calls when needed
    • Mostly C# and .NET day to day: ASP.NET Core and EF Core on SQL Server, with REST and GraphQL on top, and React with TypeScript on the front end
    • Azure infrastructure as code in Bicep, with build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps
    • Multi-tenant throughout, so a feature has to hold up across customers on different payroll providers and in different countries
  2. Sep 2022 – Sep 2023 · Mechelen

    IT Consultant ElmosExpert

Placed at Paybix through ElmosExpert's hire-to-hire concept: a year on the team, and if both sides were happy, a permanent contract. They were, so that's where the Paybix entry above begins.

  3. Oct 2020 – Aug 2022 · Kontich

    Software Developer Contribute NV

Oracle APEX development for several clients.

    • Standards and customer management apps for NBN
    • Project-management automation for Sabam
    • Registration and online payment flow for walking federations (Cronolive)
    • Manual and automated testing for a Petronas application
  4. Oct 2019 – Apr 2020 · Leuven

Intern, then Front End Developer Cumul.io

    • Built an Angular library that embeds Cumul.io dashboards in a few lines of code, and wrote the tutorial and functional analysis that shipped with it
    • Migrated large parts of the Cumul.io Academy from AngularJS to Angular

02 Side quests

Personal projects, built in the evenings. AI tools are part of how I work on them.

Home dashboard & media server

I run InkyPi, an open-source e-ink dashboard, on a Raspberry Pi next to my media server. My additions: a macro-pad and knob controller daemon that switches views (weather, calendar, night sky, Home Assistant), a themed calendar plugin and patches to existing plugins.
